Norstar is a cutting-edge companion app for electric vehicles, designed to provide real-time insights into your car’s battery life, speed, range, and performance metrics—all in one intuitive interface. With seamless Dynamic Island integration, Norstar keeps drivers informed at a glance, ensuring a smarter, safer, and more efficient driving experience.
Objective
The goal was to design a modern and user-friendly EV dashboard that delivers instant, real-time data without distractions. The app needed to blend aesthetics with functionality, offering clear visual feedback on critical driving stats while keeping interactions minimal and efficient. The branding had to reflect innovation, speed, and sustainability, positioning Norstar as the ultimate smart assistant for electric car owners.
Process
The design process began with research into EV driver needs, focusing on how users interact with battery and speed monitoring apps. Through competitor analysis and user feedback, we identified key pain points, such as cluttered interfaces and delayed data updates. Our solution was to create a sleek, real-time dashboard that prioritizes clarity and accessibility. Key design choices included:
